The lantern takes 2 × LR41 button cells (also sold as AG3 / 392), which are inexpensive and widely available online and in most supermarkets or hardware stores. We recommend having a fresh pair on hand so you can light it up the moment it arrives.

There's a simple slide switch on the base of the lantern. Flick it one way for a warm glow, flick it back to switch off — no app, no remote, no fiddly buttons.

The battery compartment sits on the base of the lantern, right beside the switch. Open it, slide the two old LR41 cells out, and drop the new pair in with the positive (+) side facing up as marked. Do replace both cells at the same time — mixing an old cell with a new one will noticeably dim the light and shorten its run time. The whole job takes about thirty seconds and needs no tools.
